UPCOMING LITTER ANNOUNCEMENT
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming summer litter! Sunshine has been bred to Fluffy (adult & puppy photos of the pair shown above). Ultrasound confirmed we are expecting puppies on or around September 10th and ready for furever homes eight weeks thereafter.
*please note, most litters are fully reserved before the puppies are born*
Details about the sire & dam of the upcoming litter:
As far as mama (SUNSHINE) and dada (FLUFFY) go, both have clearances for hips, elbows, heart, and eyes, along with full genetic testing to ensure puppies aren’t affected by any of the diseases common to the golden retriever breed. Health clearances can be found here:
All of my Goldens are super sweet, gentle, loving goofballs, as I will only breed dogs with exceptional temperaments. I will never breed a dog with any sort of aggression whatsoever. I strongly encourage all potential families to inquire about these behaviors when researching breeders. Additionally, inquire about health testing (do both parents have clearances for hips, elbows, heart and eyes, & do they both have full genetic testing), find out whether or not the puppies come with a health guarantee (see below for what’s covered in my health guarantee), ask where puppies are raised (are they raised in the home; this is actually very important) and what kind of early socialization protocol is used.
FLUFFY is a working service dog winning multiple champion titles. He has a stellar pedigree with very healthy lines. His temperament matches his stunning looks and he is an absolute sweetheart, incredibly smart, and just an all around amazing boy! I am beyond thrilled to have him as the sire for this upcoming litter!
Our SUNSHINE is the mama and also comes from a stellar pedigree. Both of her parents were imported from Ukraine and are CHIC registered. Sunshine has her AKC Canine Good Citizen title. Sunshine is a quiet and super loving girl. She's not a barker, but she will "chatter/snort" a bit when she gets super excited about a yummy treat. It's a hoot! Sunshine is definitely more of a velcro dog and likes to follow me from room to room all day long. She LOVES to be loved! Sunshine is happy to go for a walk or a hike, to romp and play outside, but she is equally happy laying around somewhere very close to me (ideally with a paw or her head touching me). She has a great "off switch", and can transition from active play to snuggling in an instant. Overall she has a low key & mellow temperament.
How I raise our puppies:
I utilize a very unique combination of AviDog and PuppyCulture protocol for early socialization, counterconditioning, and desensitization. We desensitize the puppies to all kinds of sights, sounds, smells and also utilize a technique called the “startle recover response”, which ensures puppies are accustomed to encountering and quickly recovering from different things that may frighten a dog later in life.
Another thing that stands out about my program is that, at most, I will only have two litters at a time. This allows me to fully devote all my time and attention to ensure each individual puppy gets endless amounts of love, daily one on one bonding time, and all of the early socialization required in order to raise healthy, happy, well adjusted puppies!
Potty training begins at 3 weeks of age, crate training is introduced at 4 weeks, and I imprint a default safety recall with all of my litters (including links for 2 videos below that highlight how I raise my puppies & the default safety recall I imprint).
My puppies come with a 2 year health guarantee that covers hips, eyes, elbows, and heart, and a lifetime guarantee that they will never be affected by the following diseases (common to the golden retriever breed):
•Degenerative Myelopathy,
•Golden Retriever Progressive Retinal Atrophy 1, GR-PRA1
•Golden Retriever Progressive Retinal Atrophy 2, GR-PRA2
•Muscular Dystrophy
•Progressive Retinal Atrophy, prod
•Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome, CMS
•Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa
•Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 5, NCL 5
•Retina Dysplasia and/or Optic Nerve Hypoplasia

Once we have received and approved your application, we require a $500 holding fee to reserve your puppy. This fee is transferable to another litter if you decide the timing isn’t right or feel this litter doesn’t have a puppy that fits your needs and wants.
